Christmas market's opening night cancelled due to storm
Organisers will assess whether the market can open on Friday as scheduled.
The opening night of HAAN Christmas Design Market in Aberdeen has been cancelled due to bad weather.
The market at Marischal College Quad was expected to have more than 50 local and international exhibitors.
HAAN celebrates crafted and handmade products from the north east such as jewellery, ceramics, textiles, homeware and lifestyle products.
An Aberdeen City Council representative said: "We are extremely disappointed that the market will not open today but public safety is our paramount concern."
Organisers are monitoring the situation and will assess whether the market can open on Friday as scheduled.
A further update will be provided on Aberdeen City Council social media platforms.
