The Scottish and Ethical Christmas Fair will return to Dundee on Tuesday.

It will be officially launched by TV personality Gail Porter, tenor Martin Aelred and lord Provost Ian Borthwick.

The launch will take place in front of the Caird Hall at noon.

Among the 40 stallholders are the Kilted Fudge Company, Eden Mill Brewery, Fair Trade Scotland and Eclectic Shock Jewellery.

There will also be a Santa's grotto, a seated cafe area and some festive films for children.

Director of the organiser, Hand Up events, Tania Pramschufer said: "The welcome we received last year in Dundee really made the event a truly superb fun time for us all and in fact that was the deciding factor for returning again this year.

"There was a constant buzz last year from lots of friendly people, looking to add something novel to their Christmas shopping whilst enjoying the market sparkle and fun.

Porter said: "It is going to be a very exciting time with incredible wealth of stalls, music, lovely seasonal food and a few festive surprises.

"It is my first visit to the fair and I am looking forward to meeting local and international stall holders, artisans, designers, chefs and musicians and help launch the second ethical Christmas Fair in Dundee in style as well as do a bit of shopping myself."

The fair opened to the public on Monday and runs until December 23.
