Staff and students from Dundee University have gone head-to-head on Thursday in a football match to support the battle against racism.

The match was sponsored by Show Racism the Red Card and is one of Black History Month's events.

The teams were joined by Dundee United striker Patrick N'Koyi, local broadcaster Jim Spence and a representative from Dundee FC, who all helped to manage and advise both sides.

Vice-president of student welfare at Dundee University Student Association Caroline Goodliffe said: "We are excited to bring together the wider Dundee community to celebrate the diversity which is integral to both the city and our campus."

DUSA president Sean O'Connor said: "We joined forces this year with Show Racism the Red Card, our local football teams, the sports union and the rest of the university to show how together we can tackle racism head on."
