Victims of child abuse at Catholic church homes in Scotland have been urged to step forward.

The Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry is examining historical allegations about the abuse of children in care.

The second phase of public hearings are due to begin in November and will focus on centres run by the Sisters of Nazareth.

The inquiry is urging all those who have information or experiences with establishments to contact their witness support team ahead of these hearings.

Nazareth House in Aberdeen will be one of four centre in Scotland to be examined in the spring of 2018.

Sites in Kilmarnock, Cardonald and Lasswade will also be investigated.
