A new creative lighting strategy will help illuminate Aberdeen's landmarks.

The Bon Accord Shopping Centre is hosting a public drop-in event for the project, Aberdeen in Colour, which is part of the City Centre Masterplan.

Members of the design team, Steensen Varming, were on hand from 11am on Wednesday to answer questions and collect comment.

The City Centre Masterplan project is being brought forward by Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeen Inspired, operator of the Business Improvement District.

It is hoped Aberdeen in Colour could also improve wayfinding, enhance cultural experiences, and make the city centre even more welcoming.

A public survey, which closes on Sunday, has been launched to help inform the strategy and implementation plan.

Feedback from the survey and the drop-in will be used when drawing up the creative lighting strategy to help transform the city centre.

More than 500 people have taken part in the survey since it was launched on October 6.
