Specialist employment support for people across Dundee
People across Dundee are set to receive employment support from April next year.
Specialist employment support will be provided to people across Dundee from April.
Remploy Scotland, an employment and skills specialist for people with disabilities and health conditions, has been awarded the contract to deliver the Scottish Government's Fair Start Service over three years.
Fair Start aims to provide tailored employment support to more than 38,000 individuals.
Those using the service include unemployed people and those with complex issues who want to work but need help to find a job or stay in work.
Remploy Scotland will deliver Fair Start support through a network of offices, branches and outreach teams in Dundee, Angus, Perth and Kinross, Lanarkshire and will provide support in the Glasgow area.
Remploy Scotland's specialist advisors will create personalised support plans and equip individuals with the right skills to move into fair sustainable employment.
Gareth Parry, Remploy chief executive, said: "More than 50% of Remploy Scotland's workforce has a declared disability or health condition, so we are well-placed to work with other employers to develop their disability confidence.
"We are committed to supporting the Scottish Government's ambition to halve the employment gap between disabled people and the rest of the working age population."
