A man has been charged with a transphobic sexual attack on a woman.

Christopher Paton is accused of pulling down the woman's clothing and sexually assaulting her.

The alleged attack took place on Great Northern Road in Aberdeen.

Paton, 41, is claimed to have made "sexually explicit" comments to her while the attack took place on July 12.

Paton was due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court to face the charge but failed to make an appearance.

Sheriff Graeme Buchanan granted a warrant for his arrest.
