Duchess of Cornwall opens Aberdeen Airport extension
Camilla took a tour the new facilities, which increased terminal space by 50%.
The Duchess of Rothesay has opened a new extension at Aberdeen International Airport on Wednesday.
Camilla toured the passenger lounge and arrivals facilities of the extension, which has added almost 50% more space to the terminal building.
Aberdeen Airport first announced plans for a large-scale transformation project in 2014 and construction of the new extension began in 2016.
Its opening marks the end of the first phase of the terminal project, which will be fully completed in 2019.
During her visit Camilla met ground staff, airline staff, architects and contractors, and unveiled a plaque.
The airport, which is located 45 miles from the Queen's Balmoral estate, is currently home to 20 airlines serving 50 destinations.
The duchess attended a Harvest Festival celebration at Aboyne Academy in Aberdeenshire later in the day.
She met pupils at the academy and ten local primary schools who will be joining in the celebrations.
