Young musicians miss out on extra-curricular lessons
The dispute about overtime payments has seen the Aberdeen Music Centre services suspended.
Young musicians in Aberdeen are missing out on extra-curricular music lessons due to an ongoing row between the city council and teachers.
Aberdeen Music Centre was founded more than 50 years ago and holds string, woodwind and brass ensembles at Northfield Academy.
The dispute about overtime payments has led to the ensembles being suspended since August.
Parents and other supporters of the centre are now calling for the row to be resolved as quickly as possible.
Eve Flett played with the orchestra before it was suspended.
She said: "I feel sad because I'm not seeing any of my friends that I met because I only see them at orchestra.
"And I miss all the concerts and orchestras that we play."
Eve's father Bruce says his daughter, and many other children, are missing out on a vital service.
Mr Flett said: "Seeing these children come together as a group, growing together musically as an orchestra and as a team and as a group, it's brilliant to see."
