Young people discussed care experience with policy makers
Dundee was the first local authority to establish a Champions Board in 2011.
Care experienced young people from across Scotland came together to discuss issues affecting them in Dundee on Friday.
The Champions Board national event provides the opportunity for them to meet with policy makers and influence real change in procedures.
The event was held in Dundee as it was the first local authority to establish a Champions Board in 2011.
Minister for Childcare and Early Years, MSP Mark McDonald said: "Champion Boards have been set up as a means to bring together the voices of young care experienced people.
"Obviously with the care review we've got going on in government, they will feed into the work that we are doing in relation to that and help to ensure when it comes to shaping the policy and practice in relation to the care system, the young people who are experiencing that system are absolutely at the centre.
"I have meet the champions board previously and I think it is a fantastic initiative and the young people are extremely positive and enthusiastic about it so I am looking forward to how today feeds into the care review we have going on."
