Man posed as teenage boy to sexually harass young girls
Francis Burns from Dundee has been jailed for two years following the offences.
A 45-year-old man posed as a teenage boy on social media to manipulate girls as young as ten into sending him indecent images.
Francis Burns harassed four girls, two aged ten and two aged 12 into sending him the pictures then threatened to post the images on to Facebook if they didn't send more.
The offences came to light when one girl, aged ten, told her father that she was worried the pictures would end up public.
Burns, from Clemington Road, Dundee, has been jailed for two years after admitting eight charges under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act.
He was also placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
The offences were committed in July and August last year at his former home address in East School Road, Dundee.
On handing down the prison sentence Sheriff Alastair Brown said: "It is an outrage that children of these tender years should be pressured and cajoled in to sending indecent photos to anybody, in particular to a man of your years."
