North Ayrshire dog owners are being encouraged to attended a free microchipping event on Monday.

Dogs Trust and local MSP Ruth Maguire are joinging together to host a dog welfare day at Woodwynd Community Centre in Kilwinning.

Dogs can receive free microchipping, basic health checks and owners will be offered training advice.

Maguire said: "I am delighted to be co-hosting this event with Dogs Trust to support my constituents to achieve the highest standards of dog welfare for their pets.

"I would encourage everyone with a dog to take advantage of this free dog welfare day."
