Twelve Dundee nurses with a combined length of service of more than 240 years will be presented with a prestigious award.

The Queen's Nursing Institute Scotland (QNIS) Long Service Award recognises those who have spent more than two decades in the profession caring for patients.

The award is open to nurses from all specialities as well as those working across in schools, general practice or mental health.

Locality manager Beth Hamilton said: "I am delighted that the QNIS has recognised our nurses for their dedication and long service to the communities of Dundee.

"We are very lucky to have such professionals caring for the Dundee population."
