Aberdeen bolster support for stadium move ahead of vote
Chairman Stewart Milne says the club could go backwards if £50m plans are rejected.
Aberdeen Football Club has launched a new campaign to bolster support ahead of a decision over their new £50m stadium proposals.
A final planning decision over the ground and training complex is due in October, with chairman Stewart Milne reiterating the club could go backwards if the plans are rejected.
Opponents of the scheme at Kingsford near Westhill say the proposals are seriously flawed.
The club say the programme is essential for its long-term future with current home Pittodrie, its home for more than a century, not fit for purpose.
Two previous attempts to find a new ground has been mired in objections and planning problems.
In 2003, the club rejected plans to switch to Kingswells, while until recently Loriston was the favoured option.
