Aberdeen is one of 20 airports to receive a positive rating for passengers travelling with disabilities, according to new survey.

The report from the the Civil Aviation Authority rated the airport as having a 'good' standard of accessibility.

Passengers surveyed said they were provided with a high quality of customer service and extra help from staff.

Prestwick, Glasgow and Inverness received a 'very good' rating.

Meanwhile London Heathrow, Manchester and East Midlands received a 'poor' rating with incidents of passengers not treated with dignity or respect.

The number of disabled people and those with mobility restrictions using air travel in the UK has increased in the past year.

Over three million people requested extra help at airports in 2016, up from 2.7m the previous year.
