More than 500 jobs axed by major north east employer
Inverness-based Global Energy Group are set to lose another 100 jobs in its latest round of cuts.
One of the largest employers in the north of Scotland has confirmed its axed more than 500 jobs in the last year.
Inverness-based Global Energy Group are set to lose another 100 jobs in its latest round of cuts.
The company say they've undergone a strategic review of staffing in order to make the cost savings.
The group said "difficult decisions" had to be made in order to address the oil downturn.
Global was founded in 2005 by Roy MacGregor, who is also chairman of Ross County Football Club.
The firm is believed to employ around 3,000 people.
