Dundee dancer earns spot to shape new summer shows
Taylor Han is one of 25 performers to take part in YDance's contemporary programme.
A Dundee dancer has been selected for one of the country's most prestigious training programmes.
Taylor Han is one of 25 exceptional Scottish talents to join YDance, the country's leading organisation for children and young dancers.
After picking up a love of dancing at the age of four, Taylor did not start contemporary dance until she was 13.
Now aged 20, she is a member of Scotland's National Youth Dance Company and studies the pursuit at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London.
This summer has been spent working with acclaimed choreographers to create four new dance works, which will be performed as part of the Project Y course.
Taylor said: "Project Y helps a lot with our training and development. It makes you a more versatile performer and really lets your creative skills flourish through working with the different choreographers.
"Contemporary dance training can sometimes lack the practice of working as a company and I think Project Y really prepares us for going into that after our training."
