Plans for a new adventure play centre in Dundee have been approved.

Dundee City Council have given the green light to plans to transform the former Dens Road Market into a children play centre.

The facility will include a trampoline park, 10-pin bowling alley, adventure play areas, crazy golf course, café and dining area.

Architects behind the project, Dundee based ARKTX have joined forces with established trampoline company Urban Air.

Urban Air hopes to be a popular destination for children's birthday parties with several trampoline actives including basketball and dodgeball.

The Dens Road Market opened in 1969 and attracted shoppers form all over Scotland for over 40 years before closing in 2013.
