Thousands of Americana music fans expected in Perth
Southern Fried is Perth's annual festival of American roots music.
Thousands of music fans will descend on Perth this weekend for a celebration of all things Americana.
Now in its 10th year, Southern Fried is Perth's annual festival of American roots music.
Headlining the event at the Perth Concert Hall will be an all-star Chuck Berry tribute act.
The family friendly festival will also have a free outdoor stage, new daytime acoustic stage, kids events, BBQ and a variety of traditional food stalls.
To celebrate its anniversary, this year's festival will run for four days starting on Thursday and organisers expect a record breaking turn out of 7000 music fans to attend.
Festival organiser Andy Shearer said: "We're celebrating our 10th year this year. We cover a whole range of music from country to soul to bluegrass to blues to folk and all points in between.
"It's mostly based at Perth Concert Hall but we've got an outdoor stage that's free right beside the hall with shows across the city centre all weekend and it just keeps growing."
