Around 700 dancers from 30 countries are sweeping their way round Fife for the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society's Summer School.

The event is celebrating its 90th anniversary and has reeled in ceilidh enthusiasts from as afield as Russia and New Zealand.

The school's longevity was also celebrated in the House of Commons with an early day motion sponsored by MP Stephen Gethins, who represents the area.

School director Jim Stott said: "As you would expect there have been some transformations over the decades but some things never change - summer school is a joyous time of dancing, learning and socialising.

"We welcome new people every year but also see hundreds of dancers who have been attending summer school for many years.

"They come to meet like-minded people who love their dancing."
