Aberdeen golfer Richie Ramsay has been paired with American ace Matt Kuchar for the first round of the Open Championship.

The 34-year-old will also tee off with New Zealand's Ryan Fox at 1.37pm on Thursday at Royal Birkdale.

Former champion Paul Lawrie will play with American Kevin Chappell and Yusaku Miyazato of Japan.

Martin Laird is in a group with Michael Hendry and Brian Harman.

Superstars Rickie Fowler and Adam Scott are alongside Paul Casey with reigning champion Henrik Stenson and Jordan Speith heading out around 2.45pm.

One of the featured early morning groups includes Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson and Charl Schwartzel.
