Families can test their sea legs against some mutinous scurvy seadogs at a new show at Aberdeen Maritime Museum.

The visitors' crew will be "captured" by a motley gang of pirates in Mutiny and the audience must use code-cracking skills to regain control of the ship.

The show is part of a range of summer events throughout the city.

Other productions include a treasure hunt in which children aged from four to 11 can help Clare the curator find the missing pieces.

John Wheeler, director of education and children's services, said: "There is a fantastic range of exciting and informative events on offer at our at both the Maritime Museum and the Treasure Hub this summer.

"So even if the weather isn't being kind, our young people will still have the opportunity to pack their days with fun."
