Wighton and McGowan score as Dundee beat Brechin City
Neil McCann's men beat the Scottish Championship side 2-0 in pre-season.
Dundee recorded a comfortable 2-0 victory over Brechin City in their penultimate pre-season match.
Craig Wighton and Paul McGowan scored the goals for Neil McCann's men as they stepped up preparations for the start of their League Cup campaign.
Forward Wighton opened the scoring after 12 minutes, turning the ball home following an excellent run from summer signing Roarie Deacon.
And Scotland youth international Wighton then turned provider for the second goal.
A simply cut back found the onrushing McGowan who bundled the ball into the Brechin goal to give the Dark Blues a two-goal lead at the interval.
Dundee take on Bolton on July 14 before the competitive action begins away to Raith Rovers on July 18.
