Parents opposed to the controversial relocation of a school for special needs children say they will seek a judicial review.

Aberdeenshire Council has approved the move for St Andrew's School to form part of the new Inverurie Academy community campus.

The plans are so controversial because of the children's special needs with ages ranging from 13 to 18.

While some are vehemently opposed to the plans, others believe the move will prove to be a positive step.

Aberdeenshire Council said it will work closely with parents to address their concerns.

If all goes according to plan the children will have a new home just a few yards away in the spring of 2020.
