Women in engineering celebrated by Abertay University
The names have been revealed as part of International Women in Engineering Day.
A university in Dundee have marked International Women in Engineering Day by unveiling the 'unsung heroes' of the industry.
On Friday, a series of experts from the world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) held talks and workshops at Abertay University's Hannah Maclure Centre.
Speakers included head of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Frances Radcliffe, and University of St Andrews lecturer Aileen Fyffe, an expert on the history of science.
Civil Engineering student Aleksandra Tomczyk, an Interconnect Champion for Equate Scotland, organised the event with the help of Programme Leader for Abertay's BSc in Civil Engineering, Margi Vilnay.
Aleksandra said: "There are so many STEM discoveries that are relatively unknown and this event will shine a light on some of those.
"Taking place on International Women in Engineering Day, it is also a chance to celebrate the vital contribution that women have made to the sector."
