Play park refurbishments progress with new schedule
The revamp started over three years ago, and 11 sites have now been identified.
A schedule of works has been created for the first phase of 2017/18 programme of play park refurbishments in Aberdeen.
The revamp started more than three years ago and 11 sites have now been identified for work in this year's programme.
Some of the sites scheduled for the first phase of work include Wales St, Lee Crescent, St Ninian's Court and Oldtown Terrace.
Any existing play equipment at these sites will be removed in the next month in preparation for new kit being installed later in the year.
An Aberdeen City Council spokeswoman said: "Some disruption is inevitable during this type of work but we hope that the resulting facilities will make up for any short term disappointment caused.
"We would ask people to be patient in the meantime."
Short consultation events have been planned to allow the public an opportunity to view options for some of the larger scale developments.
The events will run from Tuesday to June 22, with staff on hand to take comments and answer questions.
