Families will be raising funds for a Parkinson's charity at a fun day in Aberdeen's Duthie Park.

Pop in for Parkinson's will have live entertainment throughout the day and plenty of tea, cake and raffles.

With a carousel and bouncy castle for the kids, they can also try their luck at vintage-style carnival games or take part in the Pop in for Parkinson's talent show.

The community-led event was previously held in Cults but has grown so big that this year it has moved to the city's Duthie Park and is officially backed by Parkinson's UK.

Lord Provost Barney Crockett will be among the talent show judging panel.

He said: "This event has grown remarkably and reflects so well the community spirit that's thriving in our city.

"I take my hat off to Rachel and the organising team and urge everyone to come along on the day.

"Judging the talent show is sure to be a tough task but it will be great fun and it's all for such a good cause."

All the money raised from the day will be used to continue supporting people with Parkinson's across Scotland.
