New international arrivals terminal opens at airport
Move is part of a wider £20m project to expand Aberdeen Airport.
Aberdeen Airport has opened its new international arrivals terminal.
The move is part of a £20m expansion, which began in April of last year and is due to be finished in 2019.
The new two-storey building will include a new baggage reclaim area and security hub.
Two new passenger lounges, an expanded baggage reclaim area, a new security search area as well as retail and catering facilities are part of the main departures lounge.
Managing director Carol Benzie said: "Not only does this investment represent the most significant upgrade to the airport since the current terminal first opened in 1977, it demonstrates our commitment to providing passengers with high quality facilities.
"It is one of the most important pieces of transport infrastructure in the north east of Scotland and it plays a crucial role in supporting the wider economy."
