Woman 'assaulted' in hallway of city centre flats
The 43-year-old was found unconscious in the early hours of Friday morning.
A woman who was found unconscious in an Aberdeen stairwell may have been assaulted.
Police were called after a 43-year-old woman was found with serious injuries in the hallway of a flat in Union Street on Friday morning.
Officers attended the scene at 6.45am, but it is believed the incident occurred around 4am.
She was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where she is still being treated for her injuries.
Following police enquiries, it is understood the woman may have been assaulted.
Detective inspector Norman Stevenson said: "We are appealing to anyone who saw anything or anyone in the area around 4am to contact us on 101.
"We are following a positive line of enquiry but any further information may be able to assist."
