Aberdeenshire's youngest baron has opened up his estate to the public for the very first time.

Cosmo Linzee Gordon is in charge of Cluny Castle at the age of 25 following the death of his parents Julia and Robert.

Hidden from view in the heart of the region, the castle is steeped in history and has been home to the Gordon family since the 1400s.

For centuries the only people allowed on the estate were the family but all that is about to change.

While living in a castle may seem like the dream for many people, in reality there are many financial challenges to deal with.

The castle doors will open for weddings and events to pay for ongoing restoration work including a leaky roof.

Despite the huge responsibilities the young baron says he would not dream of selling up his ancestral home.
