Dundee University has been ranked as the best place to study design and craft in the Guardian's university league table for 2018.

Universities from across the UK were scored on several factors, including student satisfaction, student to staff ratio, spend per student, entry requirements, degree results and career prospects.

Dundee came out top for student satisfaction with courses, teaching and tutor feedback, as well as student to staff ratio.

The university was not in the top 10 last year but has knocked Goldsmiths, based in London, off the top spot for the subject group.

This year, Dundee University is celebrating 50 years of being an independence institution.
