Doors transformed for Open Close street art trail
Artists will paint seven doors across the city as a trial for the project.
Doors in lanes, closes and alleyways that are prone to vandalism will be transformed into beautiful pieces of artwork.
Art work for the Open Close street art trail in Dundee has started appearing across the city.
As part of a two week trial for the project, artists will paint seven doors across the city including Couttie's Wynd and Pullar's Close.
Trail organiser, Russell Pepper, said "Everyone has been incredibly positive about the project, literally every shopkeeper I've spoken to has loved the idea and wanted to have their door painted.
"It's incredibly encouraging and Dundee is clearly crying out for street art, it's just a shame we can't paint them all."
A council spokesperson said: "The council has always supported public art in the city and are in favour of projects like this.
"Similar mural trails in Glasgow and Aberdeen have proved successful providing a positive impact on our city."
