Family increasingly concerned for welfare of missing man
Allan Reid from Portlethen has been missing since May 10.
Concerns are growing for an Aberdeenshire man who went missing last Wednesday.
Allan Reid from Portlethen has been missing since leaving the Britannia Hotel on Belford Road in Edinburgh.
Police believed Mr Reid was still in the capital but have now reported the 60-year-old was spotted at the Holiday Inn Express on Dock Street in Dundee on Friday.
He is described as 5ft 8in, white, of medium build, with brown eyes, receding red/grey hair and on occasion he will grow a bread.
Mr Reid normally wears T-shirts or shirts with blue jeans.
Sergeant Andy Cruickshank said: "It is out of character for Mr Reid to not have made any contact for such a long period of time, and his family are growing increasingly concerned for his safety and well-being.
"I would appeal directly to Mr Reid himself to please get in touch to let us know you are safe and well.
"I would also ask taxi drivers in any of the areas mentioned to let us know if you recognise him as being a passenger, and B&Bs, hotels or licensed premises to let us know if he has been a guest.
"Anyone with information that could assist tracing Mr Reid is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3153 of May 15."
