Second aid shipment for Syrian refugees leaves Dundee
Around 300 sacks of clothes and 150,000 bars of soap have been collected.
A Dundee support group is sending a second shipment of aid to help Syrian refugees.
Working alongside a similar group in Glasgow, it will ship 150,000 bars of soap and around 300 sacks of clothing to be distributed by the Red Cross teams on the ground.
Earlier this month, Tayside residents donated 25 tonnes worth of material to send to the war-torn country.
More than 600 bags of clothes and shoes were collected before being transported in a 45-foot container truck.
The materials will travel to Belgium from Dunsinane Industrial Estate before being taken to settlements just north of Aleppo.
A spokesman for the group said: "Thanks again to everyone, what an amazing effort our wee city and the surrounding towns have made."
