The list of candidates for two key Aberdeen constituencies at next month's general election have been announced.

Kirsty Blackman will aim to retain her seat for Aberdeen North after being named as the Scottish National Party's candidate.

She will take on Grace O'Keefe (Conservative), Orr Vinegold (Labour), Isobel Davidson (Lib Dems) and Richard Durkin (Independent) in the region.

Callum McCaig (SNP) is looking to win the Aberdeen South constituency for the second time.

He is up against Ross Thomson (Conservative), Jenny Wilson (Lib Dems) and Callum O'Dwyer (Labour).

Voters will go to the polls on June 8 with midnight on Monday, May 22, the last day to register to vote.

Applications for postal votes can be made up until May 23, with the late proxy deadline on May 31.
