Families and friends across the north east can try tennis for free this weekend.

The Great British Tennis Weekend will open up courts across the country to serve up fun and relaxed tennis lessons.

In Aberdeen city and shire, the David Lloyd club, Westburn Indoor Tennis Centre and Banchory LTC will all be taking part from Saturday, May 13.

Head of development at Tennis Scotland Doc McKelvey said: "With so many park sites and clubs right across the country running their own Great British Tennis Weekend there really is something for everyone.

"I hope families take the opportunity to take part in these fantastic events and ready themselves for what is set to be another huge summer of tennis here in Scotland, as we get behind Andy Murray and the rest of our tennis stars."
