Members of the Aberdeen asbestos support group gathered in Johnston Gardens.
An Aberdeen support group marked their tenth anniversary with a special memorial service.
The group comes together every year to commemorate those who have died from an asbestos related condition.
Members of the Aberdeen asbestos support group held this years event in the city's Johnston Gardens.
Asbestos is one of a large number of agents that can cause lung cancer and is responsible for causing around 2,500 deaths per year.
Phyllis Craig, chairperson of Clydeside Action on Asbestos, said: "Asbestos exposure is still there, mainly now in the construction industry. But what you're seeing is more and more people, younger people being diagnosed with an asbestos condition and we certainly don't want that for our children.
"So it's good to remember the people, because if we don't, who will?"
