Four artists have been shortlisted to create a memorial to celebrate key figures in Aberdeen's fishing industry.

Artists have until by Monday, August 7 to submit their proposal, which will be displayed outside the city's Maritime Museum.

The winning piece will be commissioned by The Fishermen's Memorial Working Group and expected to be unveiled in summer 2018.

Aberdeen's Lord Provost George Adam said: "We have been very pleased with the interest shown by so many talented artists and I think it shows Aberdeen's reputation as a leading city for visual arts. I look forward to seeing how these four proposals translate into visual representations and to seeing the work progress."
