Man found dead in flat had stab wounds to chest and stomach
Robert Reid's body was discovered in a property on Arnage Place in Aberdeen last month.
A man who died at a flat in Aberdeen suffered stab wounds to the chest and stomach, it has emerged.
Robert Reid was found dead on Arnage Place in the Mastrick area on October 26.
Police officers discovered his body after being called to the flat at about 5am.
Mr Reid's death certificate, which was published on Friday, reveals he was stabbed in the chest and abdomen.
Darren Barnes, 28, has been charged with his murder and is being held in custody.
Barnes made no plea during his first court appearance and will return to court at a later date.
Following his death, Mr Reid's family said: "Robert was a much-loved husband, father, son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin to many.
"We are devastated that his children will have to grow up without their father and that his life has ended so soon.
"He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him and we would ask that we are left in private to grieve at this extremely difficult time."
