Nurse struck off for making drugs mistakes at hospital
Alan Currie made the errors at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary between 2011 and 2012.
A nurse who put patients at risk by making mistakes when handing out drugs has been struck off.
Alan Currie committed the errors at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary between May 2011 and February 2012.
He admitted them during a hearing in front of a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) panel, which took the view that patients were "put at unwarranted risk of harm".
They said Mr Currie's actions "fell so far below the standard of care expected of a registered nurse as to amount to serious misconduct."
However, the health watchdog has not made the full details of his mistakes public.
A report by the NMC said there remained concerns that Mr Currie had not shown any insight into the seriousness of his errors and was liable to repeat them in future.
Mr Currie, who no longer works in nursing, was struck off by the NMC earlier this month.
