A missing Moray pensioner described as "high-risk" has been found after a police appeal.

John Cameron was reported missing from his home in Lhanbryde, near Elgin, on Thursday.

The 72-year-old was traced in Aberdeen on Friday morning after concerns were raised for his welfare.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "John Cameron, who had earlier been reported missing from his home address in Lhanbryde, has been traced in Aberdeen.

"The media and members of the public who assisted are thanked."
