School tribute after body found in hunt for missing pupil
Hannah Mackenzie was last seen at the Nicolson Institute on Thursday afternoon.
Pupils will be offered counselling when they return to school after a body was found in the hunt for a missing pupil.
A major search was launched for 17-year-old Hannah Mackenzie in Stornoway on Thursday afternoon.
She was last seen outside the Nicolson Institute at around 4pm.
Late on Friday, police confirmed a body had been found in grounds of Lews Castle.
While formal identification has yet to take place, police said Hannah's family had been informed.
In a post on Facebook, Western Isles Council said the school community had been left "deeply saddened".
And it said pupils would be offered support when they returned to class on Monday.
The council said: "Everyone in the school community will be deeply saddened by the tragic news.
"School staff, counsellors and other professionals will be on hand on Monday to support pupils.
