Over 200 pupils from a primary school in the Highlands have been invited to a special screening of a Hollywood blockbuster.

Drakies primary school in Inverness were praised online by The Greatest Showman's lead actor Hugh Jackman after they performed This Is Me from the film during a celebration of diversity in the school.

A clip of the performance was posted online and Wolverine star Jackman shared it to his 12m Twitter followers, describing it as "awesome".

The children will now be able to see his latest film for free after 20th Century Fox invited the whole school from primary one to seven, as well as staff and parents, to Vue cinema in Inverness for a special showing of movie on Friday February 23.

The school, which has around 230 pupils, thanked 20th Century Fox for the gesture.

They Tweeted: "A wonderful opportunity for our school! Friday 23rd February 10am-12pm Primary 1-7 pupils, staff and parents trip to @vuecinemas to see @GreatestShowman courtesy of @20thcenturyfox #Thankyou."

In the original video, that has been liked over 1,400 times, they said "It is an amazing song to empower and celebrate diversity and difference."

The 49-year-old Australian actor then shared the 27 second long video saying: "You are ALL awesome and unique ... and your teachers are too!"
