Drugs and cash worth thousands of pounds seized in town
The discovery was made after a car was stopped on Young Street in Elgin, Moray.
Drugs worth almost £10,000 and nearly £19,000 of cash have been seized after a car was stopped in a town.
A white Volkswagen Golf was stopped on Young Street in Elgin, Moray, in the early hours of Sunday following concerns about the driver's behaviour.
A search was then carried out at a house on the town's Maisondieu Place where cocaine, cannabis and ecstasy were seized along with cash.
A 24-year-old man has been charged over the alleged incidents and is expected to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Monday.
Constable Brian Donaldson said: "This proactive action has infiltrated a significant quantity of drugs which could have been bound for our communities."
