Walker rescued after getting lost in the dark on Skye
The Kyle of Lochalsh RNLI lifeboat went to the woman's aid on Saturday night.
A lost walker has been rescued after becoming disorientated in the dark on Skye.
The Kyle of Lochalsh RNLI lifeboat went to the woman's aid shortly before 10pm on Saturday.
They fired off a white flare to illuminate the area on the Kinloch coast and began a search.
The woman, who was lost in a dense area of woodland near the shore, managed to attract the team's attention with a torch.
An RNLI spokesman said: "The lifeboat put a crew member ashore who began walking towards the casualty's location, however due to the very dense vegetation this took some time.
"By the time the crew member reached the casualty and confirmed she was uninjured, the local UK Coastguard teams had arrived on scene and the lifeboat crew member managed to walk the casualty to meet them."
The lifeboat has returned to harbour by 10.50pm.
The RNLI said the walker had "done the right thing" by calling the emergency services.
