Four people have been injured after a car careered off a rural road.

The crash happened on the B9013 Sheriffston to Orton road near Elgin in Moray at 9.10pm on Monday.

Four people were travelling in a Peugeot 206 when it crashed.

Two men, aged 18 and 30, have been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

A 23-year-old woman suffered fractures and has been taken to Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin.

A man, 19, was also taken to hospital but was later released.

The road remains closed while investigations take place.

Sergeant Colin Matheson, of the road policing department said, "Anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the black Peugeot 206 beforehand is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101."
