Injured paraglider rescued after crashing in Cairngorms

An injured paraglider has been rescued after crashing in the Cairngorms.
The pilot suffered a broken leg when the glider went down on Meall a' Bhuachaille on Thursday.
A rescue helicopter was scrambled and carried the man to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
Cairngorms Mountain Rescue Team and staff at Glenmore Lodge were put on standby but were not needed.
A spokesman for Cairngorm MRT said: "A paraglider crashed into Meall a' Bhuachaille today suffering a lower leg break.
"Rescue 951 dealt with it - he was uplifted and taken to Raigmore.
"Cairngorm MRT and Glenmore Lodge had folk on standby in case boots on the ground were needed."
