Teenage motorist who died in Highland road crash named
Police have named the 19-year-old driver who died in a one-car crash in Caithness.
A teenage driver who died in a one-vehicle crash in the Highlands has been named by police.
Edward Robert Laing, 19, from Thurso, died in the early hours of Thursday morning following the crash on the A99 south of Keiss, Caithness.
The 19-year-old, who was the sole occupant of the car, died at the scene after crashing his Peugeot 306 at around 3.15am.
The road was closed for around 11 hours to allow crash investigators to carry out their enquiries.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
