A conductor was assaulted on a train travelling through the Highlands.

The incident happened between Dingwall and Conon Bridge at around 8.20pm on Friday.

British Transport Police (BTP) has released a picture of a man they would like to speak to.

He is thought to be around 25 to 30 years old, 5ft 8in, with a slim build and short light brown hair.

Officer Matt O'Neill has appealed to anyone who recognises the man to contact the BTP on 0800 405040.
