Two wards at a hospital hit by a norovirus outbreak have reopened, while two others remain closed.

Around 50 cases of the vomiting bug have been reported at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, the flagship infirmary for NHS Highland.

On Monday, the health board announced wards 2C and 6C had reopened to new patients and visitors.

Wards 7C and 2A remain closed to new admissions and visitors due to the presence of norovirus.

NHS Highland was forced to close four wards at the hospital for a week in April last year after 51 patients caught the virus.
